Health Care Reform
To the Editor:
Power - “The Possession Of Control Or Command Over Others”
Should so-called Health Care Reform, better known as Socialized Medicine, be passed, our Government will have taken over approximately 48% of our present economy. They had already taken over 30% of it when they controlled the banks, insurance companies, mortgage companies and the student loan business.
“Once they get this power, they can use that as a pretext for controlling every other aspect of our lives”.
But many think a Universal Or Government Health plan would be great and would in turn “correct the abuses of our present system”. The major problem lies with the in- ability of our politicians to run such a humongous plan. Remember, they already control and run Social Security, Medicare, Veteran Hospitals, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and those records speak for themselves. Just think when they attempt to handle more.
The greatest problem not being presented: is how is all this to be paid? Congress always had a very conservative estimate of costs when previously voting on bills. What happens to our economy should they underestimate? Our deficit balloons, our dollar will shrink more, and our taxes will definitely have to rise. Our world standing will take another blow. Our Bonds could be become “poor” investments.
Stand Up America!
We are losing our Freedom and our own elected politicians are taking it away from us.
Let them know how you feel - The next election may be too late.
