Trojans Boys Soccer Finishes Regular Season Undefeated And Begins Playoffs Saturday

The undefeated Garden City Trojans boys varsity soccer team took on the Jericho Jayhawks on Monday afternoon October 26th at Garden City High School. Jericho’s Adam Seiden opened the scoring off an assist from Glenn Hyams 5:45 into the game but GC’s Topher DiBona, off an assist from Vincent Tavernese, beat two players in the box to tie it for Garden City in the 31st minute. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. GC goalkeeper George Spanos made five saves. Jericho goalkeeper Ben Rechler made four saves.
The Trojans finished up the regular season with an overall record of 10-0-4. The team will host a first round playoff game tomorrow at 2pm.
