Garden City’s 2009 Homecoming Game & Pep Rally
Students enjoyed the antics of bewigged coaches and teachers on roller blades during the Pep Rally.
There is no keeping a good Trojan down - not fitful rain, gusty wind, or a tough opponent on the field. In a shut-out of 28-0, Garden City’s varsity football team made this year’s Homecoming Game one to remember. “I am really proud of how well the team is playing this season - they are fun and exciting to watch,” commented Athletic Director Nancy Kalafus. “I am really happy that the heavy rain held off until after the wonderful halftime show.”
At the high school Pep Rally on Friday afternoon, students raised the roof with unbridled enthusiasm as the high school teams were introduced in anticipation of Homecoming. The kick line, cheerleaders, marching band and color guard entertained students during the Pep Rally and wowed the fans at Saturday’s halftime show.
