Tasting apples and charting the favorites. Fall is full of fun for the students at the Community Church Nursery School! Making new friends, painting, dressing up and building with blocks are just some of the fun activities the children can look forward to. Our natural playground is a special place for children; full of opportunities for creative, imaginative play and offers the children a way to learn about and appreciate nature.

The GC Community Church Nursery School provides children with a quality educational program which inspires them to create, discover and achieve; fosters self-awareness and self-esteem; teaches them to treat others with gentleness, respect, compassion and generosity; and prepares them for advancement to the next level of learning. Classrooms are set up to encourage free exploration, with a wide variety of materials and activities that are fun and interactive, and experiences that stimulate all of their senses. Programs are offered for 3 & 4 year olds. An Enrichment Program is offered to registered 4 year ods. This program includes an Art Class and the very popular Community Cooking Class.

Mrs. Herbst and Mrs. Hughes’ class made a friendly witch. New for the upcoming school year is an After School Science & Nature Explorers Class - open to registered 3 & 4 year olds. This program meets weekly on Tuesdays.

The Nursery School is proud to promote its Healthy Snack policy as well as its Healthy GREEN Cleaning policy.

Open registration for the Nursery programs for 3 and 4 year olds for the 2010/11 school year will begin on November 16, 2009.

Registration for School Alumni and Church member families begins on November 2. Currently enrolled “PlaySchool” families may register on November 9. All registrations begin at 9:00am at the school office. Children must be 3 years old on or before December 1, 2010 to enroll.
