Douglas Trimmer and Jacqueline Vafier. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vafier of Garden City are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Jacqueline to Douglas Trimmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Trimmer of Hanover, PA.

Jackie is a graduate of Garden City High School, class of 1999. She received a BS in Psychology and her MS in Elementary Education from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.

She is currently teaching first grade at Paw Creek Elementary School, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Doug grew up in Hanover, PA. He graduated from Spring Grove Area High School class of 1995. He is a 1999 graduate of West Virginia University with a BS in Psychology and a MS in Sports Psychology. He also has a MS in school counseling from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. He is currently employed with Coldwell Banker as a real estate agent and is working part time for the Caroline Panthers.

A June 2010 wedding is planned.
