The Recreation Bus will leave St. Paul’s Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. The cost of this trip will be $32. To register for this trip, please visit the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway Avenue by Monday, November 16. Pre-registration and payment, in cash, are necessary to attend this trip.

SENIOR WALKING GROUP BEGINNING

The Recreation Department’s Senior Walking Group will begin Tuesday, October 28th and will meet every Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. in the vestibule of St. Paul’s Cluett Hall. Dress appropriately because if the weather is good, the group will walk outside. In inclement weather, the group will walk St. Paul’s track. Felicia Lovaglio will lead this group. Come and exercise while chatting with friends.

INFORMATION ON SENIOR FLU SHOT PROGRAM

Due to a restructuring of the Nassau County Senior Citizen’s Affairs’ Flu Shot Program, and the nonparticipation of Winthrop Hospital and Nassau County Medical Center, our Recreation Department will not be offering flu shots at the Senior Center this year.

However, the Recreation Department has obtained a list of sites at which seniors can receive flu shots. This list can be obtained at the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway Avenue, St. Paul’s Senior Center, or the Senior Center on Golf Club Lane.

Also, the Recreation Department will provide bus transportation to the Senior Health Fair at Hofstra University on October 29th, where attendees can receive a flu shot. Please read the article below for further details on how to register for a flu shot at the Health Fair.
