The Garden City Retired Men’s Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City Community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political.

All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City, in the state of New York are eligible for membership upon paying a five (5) dollar initiation fee. If you are eligible and interested in joining us, please come by. Every Monday is Open House. Or call Joe Leto at 248-9022.

The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers two regulation size pool tables, television, cards/table board games as well as outdoor bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Our Program Committee is planning a very active speaker program. You are invited to join us!

Join us on Monday November 16th at 1:00 p.m. and listen as Bob McMillan will explain how we can cope with the many complex problems we may face under the proposed health care legislation. His six year association with the AMA, more than qualifies Bob to interpret the untold issues regarding health care. Come early, sit comfortably and ask the question that bothers you most.

FLU Season Is Here

It May Be Repetitious, But This is Important.

The flu season is upon us. It’s serious. Use the spray, remove standing water, be careful and get your flu shots . The standard flu vaccine is available now. The swine flu vaccine should be ready soon.

Meanwhile Felicia will maintain the same schedule for another week or two. Twice a day , three times a week. Felicia, we can’t thank you enough. Join her any Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:15 or 10:30 AM. Classes are free and the exercise is great.

Another great way to exercise ... Bowling ... Come bowl with us at Herrill Lanes any Friday at 12:45 p.m. If you care to join us, call Ron Zwicke at 747-6842. You will be happy with the results.

Merchant Marine Academy Luncheon Is Set To Go
