Two one-act comedies by Anton Chekhov, “The Boor” and “The Marriage Proposal,” will be presented at The Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island on Nov. 7 and 14 at 8 p.m., and Nov. 8 and 15 at 2:30 p.m.

The cost is $15. The society is located at 38 Old Country Road in Garden City. For more information, call 741-7304. Ken Schwartzman directs both plays and the actors are Lorraine Agostino, John Payne, Judy Rosemarin and Ken Schwartzman.
