The New York State Archives has awarded Certificates of Merit to the Stewart School Quest students for their research on the Long Island Motor Parkway. Their entry, a movie, entitled The Long Island Motor Parkway - the World’s First Highway, was the product of a semester long research project. The students used primary source documents to gather information to make history come alive.

Congratulations to Stewart teacher Mrs. Dolores Volpe and her students who completed the award-winning submission: Christian Carlino, Christopher Crafa, Alicia Cristoforo, Christian Ferris, Yianni Flouskakos, Joseph Fulgieri, Julianne Griffith, Zachary Lambraia, Alana MacLeod, Elizabeth Rieger, Jack Roscoe, Sydney Carlino and Tyler Okada.
