L-R: New York Islanders players Brendan Witt and Mark Streit with Ms. Lauren Licalzi’s 4th grade class New York Islanders Brendan Witt and Mark Streit paid a visit to the Stratford Avenue School in Garden City on Monday, October 19, to celebrate New York Islanders Literacy Day, an annual event where players share the joy of reading with children at elementary schools across Long Island. Players read a short book to the students, answered questions, signed autographs and talked about how reading affected their lives.
