New Fall Season Of Storytimes And Book Discussions


The Garden City Library kicked off its new fall season of children’s programs. Kindergarten storytime participants are pictured with stick puppet character masks based on Tomie DePaola’s Strega Nona. The Library offers storytimes for children from 18 months to First Grade.

The Library offers book discussions for children in grade two through grade five. Participants are pictured at the third grade “New Friends in A Book Club” which shared the book I Was a Third Grade Science Project  by Mary Jane Auch. The group will meet to discuss Lois Lowry’s Gooney Bird and the Room Monitor on November 18th. Contact the Children’s Room for all of the upcoming book discussions.
