The Msgr. John Seidenschwang Knights Of Columbus Council will present Paddy Noonan and the multi talented cast of his newest show “Echoes of Ireland and the Irish in America” in a magical afternoon of Irish song, laughter and story-telling in McCloskey Auditorium at the Church of St. Anne on Sunday afternoon at 1:30P, November 22nd. Proceeds of the afternoon’s entertainment will benefit the Knights of Columbus Charities.

The name Paddy Noonan has long been synonymous with quality Irish music. This accomplished accordionist has established a reputation for delighting audiences all around the globe, not only with his own talents, but also as a director and promoter of top class entertainment. The line-up for the “Echoes of Ireland” includes the hilarious comedian, George Casey; Irish tenor extraordinaire, Brian Hunter; the beautiful and talented, Sheila Noonan; versatile singer, musician and story teller, Tommy Mulvihill, Irish-American balladeer, Mary O’Dowd; along with several supporting musicians.

Comedian George Casey, who was born in a remote seaside village on the west coast of Ireland legendary for its storytelling has been entertaining audiences all over the US with his self-deprecating humor and clean jokes and stories. Some of the acts George has opened for and toured with include Rosemary Clooney, The Osmond Brothers, Ray Price, Three Dog Night, Brooklyn Bridge, Donald O’Connor and Bobby Vinton. Great to have him visit Garden City!

No Irish concert is complete without an Irish tenor “extraordinaire” and Brian Hunter is the right man for the part. His appearances span Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and other foremost concert halls in Palm Beach and Europe. He is a frequent star as both a Classical and an Irish Tenor on major cruise ships and has performed around the world collaborating with such stars as the Metropolitan Opera’s Roberta Peters. But his rendition of “Proud to Be an American” never fails to bring audiences to their feet!

Sheila Noonan, Paddy’s beautiful daughter, and native of Garden City, has appeared on concert stages across America, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Alaska. Sheila’s accomplishments to date include two solo albums “I Just Want To Dance With You” and “Radio Sweethearts”, the lead role of Alice in “Dreams of Alice”, a musical adaptation based on the age-old tale of Alice In Wonderland, and numerous studio productions for both voice over commercials and back-up vocals on various recordings.

Tommy Mulvihill - the personification of the hit song “When New York Was Irish” was born in the South Bronx, when it was made up of people from every corner of Ireland. A fine musician on the guitar and violin, he has a great way with a song and tells wonderfully humorous stories of his early years in the South Bronx. Tommy is a very versatile entertainer who has produced and performed on several of his own recordings and also has been featured on many recordings with Paddy Noonan. One of his best known songs is “Keep the Tradition Alive”, a song he co wrote with Mike Carroll.

Irish American balladeer, Mary O’Dowd, also has appeared at Carnegie Hall and on television in the United States and Canada. She has a quality that actively appeals to everyone, whether she is singing a popular song or a sentimental Irish ballad, that winning way is in her voice, the lilt which is distinctively her own.

This is a MUST NOT MISS music filled afternoon. Meet up with family & friends and enjoy a typical Irish afternoon while giving back to the community by supporting The Msgr. John Seidenschwang Knights of Columbus Council
