Tommy-Lee Sexton to sing as Opener. Café Ablaze Christian Coffeehouse celebrates its one-year anniversary with an evening of outstanding entertainment and abundant delectable refreshments, Saturday, Nov. 21. All are invited to bring a friend and relax at candlelit tables, while enjoying flavored coffees, assorted desserts, fresh fruit, and gelato.

Featured entertainment will be local Christian musician, Cathy Virgilio. Cathy has sung professionally for many years in various groups ranging from folk and jazz to classic rhythm & blues. Throughout this time, she has also written, recorded, and performed her own music. She has served as a worship leader in her church and has ministered to women in prison for the past decade. Today, Cathy’s passion is to bring others into the powerful healing presence of Jesus through song.

Opener for the evening will be Tommy-Lee Sexton, a 21-year-old senior at Valley Forge Christian College, where he is studying to be a Youth Pastor. He has been singing at various coffee houses on Long Island for the past several years and recently performed a few of his original songs on Telecare TV’s “Good News” show. Of his ministry, Tommy-Lee states, “I pray that as I sing, God is glorified and people are ministered to.”

Cathy Virgilio, local Christian music artist, will sing at November Cafe Ablaze First Anniversary Celebration. Café Ablaze Coffeehouse is hosted by Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, located at 420 Stewart Ave., near Clinton Rd., in Garden City. Please note our new opening time: Doors open at 7 p.m.; music starts at 7:45. Enter on the Emmet Place side of the church, by the lighted Café Ablaze sign. Parking is available on side streets bordering the church or in the semi-circular parking area by the Fire House at the end of Emmet Place.
