Erin Kenny at the start of her first place finish in the 100 freestyle against Manhasset The Varsity Girls Swimming and Diving Team added two more wins this past week, increasing their record to 5 and 0. The team swam a very talented Sewanhaka team but proved that depth counts and once again recorded a convincing win. The meet saw two NY State Qualifying times, one from Sarah Schlichte (500 Free) and another from Megan Zarriello (100 back). Sarah and Megan will be traveling to Rochester in November to compete in that Championship meet.

On Friday, the girls once again did not disappoint. Coach Anne once again used the versatility and depth of the team to come away with a victory against Manhasset. The girls swam great with many personal best times which is very encouraging at this time in the season. Meagan Zarriello achieved another NY State Qualifying time, this one in the 500 free. The last event of the meet, the 400 Freestyle Relay, was “the Battle of the Sisters” relay. With 6 sets of sisters on the team, the 3 relay teams came away victorious in the matchup.
