Marcia and Gregory Matzelle, gracious hosts of the evening’s event On October 8th, Twigs of Winthrop-University Hospital launched its highly-anticipated fundraising season with a Boutique Cocktail Party at the home of gracious hosts, Mr. & Mrs. Gregory Matzelle. Putting aside hectic schedules for one evening, members and guests happily mingled, sipped cocktails, and sampled scrumptious appetizers and desserts while browsing new and exciting shopping venues.

Plans are being finalized for Twigs’ 35th Annual Golden Goose Gala Candlelight House Tour and Holiday Shopping Boutique. Both events will be held on Friday, November 20th, 2009. This year’s one-day shopping boutique will be at the Garden City Casino located at the corner of 6th Street & Cathedral Avenue.

Twigs, an auxiliary of Winthrop-University Hospital, has a long-standing commitment of supporting the Hospital through its various fundraising events. All proceeds are dedicated to the Maternal Childcare Center and Nursery Unit. Tickets for the grand Candlelight House Tour are $45.
