A Night of Mystery!
Current Fifth Graders can join us for The Page Turners. Each meeting will focus on a different genre. We’ll discuss a great book, talk about old favorites and new, eat, play games, and more! The first session will be a “Night of Mystery” featuring Disappearing Acts by Betsy Byars, on Thursday, November 12 at 5:30pm. Grab a brown bag dinner and enjoy an evening inspired by great mystery books. We’ll even do some sleuthing on our own. Stop by the Children’s Room to sign up and pick up your copy of the book.
Chocolate Workshop!

Registration is required and begins in the Children’s Room on Saturday, October 31 at 9:30am. Open to Garden City residents only.
Halloween Headquarters
Did you know that the Children’s Room has an entire Halloween section? The Library has many Halloween titles, as well as other holiday books in a special section. We also have folktales, short stories, DVDs, poems, craft books and other non-fiction that are perfect for the season. Speak with a children’s librarian for the perfectly spooky (or not so spooky) story.
Please check the library website www.gardencitypl.org for upcoming events and registration dates. Funding for these programs has been provided by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Priority for registration and participation is given to children who are Garden City Public Library cardholders.
