Buckley Invites All To Fall Fair
Buckley Country Day School will hold its 36th Annual Fall Fair on Saturday, October 17th, from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 18th, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.-rain or shine.
Parents’ Association President Linda Toby, along with a team of hardworking parent volunteers, has organized a weekend of fall fun for Buckley’s community, friends, and neighbors. Fairgoers will enjoy rides, games, and an open-air market. For the younger children, there will be pony rides, face painting, sand and pumpkin art, balloons, a petting zoo, and more. Carnival rides and the sports challenge will amuse “kids of all ages.”
For adults, the fair is a great time to get started on holiday shopping at the 30 vendor booths, buy fall plantings, and pick a pumpkin with your family at the pumpkin patch.
This year an international food tent, offering Italian, Greek, and Asian foods, will accompany the traditional Fall Fair fare, including hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, popcorn, cotton candy, zeppoles, and baked goods.
Buckley is an independent elementary school, serving 340 boys and girls in toddler through eighth grade. Founded in 1923, the school resides on a 25-acre campus that includes three beautiful athletic fields, tennis courts, and three playgrounds located in the picturesque North Hills of Roslyn.
