The Art Department of the Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead is pleased to announce that noted artist and lecturer Lois Schnackenberg will be returning to the Garden City Casino on Wednesday, October 29, at 1:30 p.m. with a slide lecture entitled “Still Life In America - From Colonialism to Modern Times.” The presentation will focus on American Artists who were influenced by French painter Pierre Bonnard.

Lois Schnackenberg graduated from Adelphi University with a major in fine arts and a minor in art history. She is an active exhibiting member of the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum.

There will be a question and answer period following the lecture and we invite everyone to stay for refreshments and meet Lois at our tea hour.
