The FIRE team at the Summer Championship Game The U16 travel baseball team has been playing extremely well. They team found it groove over this past summer and has gotten excellent pitching, timely hitting and superb fielding. The FIRE closed out the summer season in August with 9 consecutive wins and headed into the playoffs where they upset the 2nd seed in the semi-final and then took the opening game of the championship round before falling in the finals in 3 games to the Rebels. They recently took to the field for the FALL season and have quickly jumped out to a 3-1 record and a share of first place this FALL behind the pitching of Darryl Tan (2-0) and Tommy Regan (1-0). The FIRE summer and Fall roster includes: Darryl Tan, Jonathan O’Hare, Brian Mitchell, Drew Simone, Danny Muller, Sean Kiley, Frank Lisboa, Lefko Charalambous, Tommy Regan, Chris Regan, Brian Cully, Matt Ranieri, David Pepe, Nick Scibelli, Anthony Riccardi, Greg Bellantonio, Ryan Pfingst, and Tommy Koebel. Coaches Simone and Kiley could not be prouder of the team, their overall effort and their level of play. The FIRE continue the Fall season this coming week with a double header against the Centerport Cyclones in a battle for first place.
