Final plans are underway for the Garden City High School Class of 1989 20th Year Reunion! Our class will get together on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 from 8 pm to midnight at the Nassau County Bar Association. The ticket price of $100 per person includes continuous hors d’oeuveres, open bar and D.J.

If you have not yet made your reservation, you can still send checks payable to GCHS Class of 1989 to Jennifer O’Hanlon, 40 Russell Road, Garden City, NY 11530. Your check must be received by Monday, September 28th. Anyone who does not make a reservation by 9/28, must pay at the door. The ticket price at the door the evening of the reunion is $120 per person. In order to insure that the caterer can prepare enough food to accommodate our party we need to know who is attending! If you plan to pay at the door, please call Jennifer at 516-742-0845 and let her know you are attending the reunion, or contact Scott Maher via Facebook. Recent GC High School Reunion Committees have reported to us that they did not have enough food because dozens of people showed up at the door the night of the reunion. It would be a shame if that happened this year.

Anyone who would like to kick off the festivities the night before the reunion can meet at Uptown Grille on Franklin Ave. in Garden City at 9 p.m. Gina Schiraldi Chapmann suggested bringing your children for a playdate to Tullamore Park on Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

If anyone has pictures that they would like to include in a slide show that will be shown the night of the reunion, please e-mail them to GCHS 1989Reunion@aol.com. The deadline for submitting photos is Sunday, September 27th.
