Resurrection & THE LIFE Church will hold flu clinics open to the community to get immunized with the flu or pneumonia vaccination, delivered by a Walgreens pharmacist. Immunizations will be available at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 420 Stewart Ave., near Clinton Rd., in Garden City, on Friday, September 25, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and at THE LIFE, 1 Old Westbury Rd. (at Jericho Tpke.), Old Westbury, on Friday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Walgreen’s will handle all the paperwork for Medicare recipients. Medicare recipients will have no out-of-pocket expense. All others can submit their insurance information to Walgreens, and each individual’s health insurer or insurance plan will respond according to coverage plan for the immunization. On the day of the clinic non-Medicare participants are asked to bring cash or check for $25 for the basic flu shot.
