EPOA Announces Important Upcoming Meetings
The Eastern Property Owners’ Association is urging all residents of Garden City to attend one of the upcoming informational meetings on the $36.5 million School Investment Bond. Residents will vote to approve or reject the bond on Tuesday, October 27. Voting will take place from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm at the Garden City High School.
The Joint Conference Committee of the four POAs, in cooperation with the Garden City Board of Education (BOE), is sponsoring a Town Hall meeting at GCHS to discuss the school investment bond. It is set for Tuesday, September 29, beginning at 8:00 pm, and is open to all residents. It will include a question and answer session.
On Thursday, October 8, the Garden City PTA will hold an open meeting with school district officials to discuss the bond and answer residents’ questions. This will also be at the high school, beginning at 7:30 pm.
The EPOA is hosting a presentation by residents James Carney and Frank Ruggiero, who served as volunteers on the Facilities Committee that surveyed the facilities and made the improvement recommendations to the BOE. This presentation will be held during the EPOA public meeting on October 13, beginning at 7:30 pm, in the Garden City Library. There will be time for questions and answers.
Trustees Dennis Donnelly and Nick Episcopia will also be on hand October 13 to update residents on the Lighthouse and other important issues, and to answer your questions. Please be sure to save the date.
