See this photo at www.Newsphoto.com Garden City High's JV football team opened up its season last Saturday morning against the New Hyde Park Gladiators. Leading the Trojans at quarterback for the 2009 season is Sophomore Mike Comiskey. The offensive line, led by center Dan Marino, provided the protection needed for the running and passing game to amass over 400 total yards, including runs by Andrew Calabro and Ryan Norton. The defense kept the Gladiators to under 200 yards of total offense as the Trojans went on to win 37-17.

Next up, the Trojans will travel to MacArthur High School to take on the Generals on Monday afternoon at 4:15pm.
