Girls Varsity Swimming Starts Preseason
7th Graders Gabby Clarkson Julia Hall, Nicole Crilly, Caroline Dianchi, Halley Sheridan, Kaitlyn DeGearo, Kerri Heuser and Caroline Germano with Coach Anne Sullivan
The Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving team started preseason on Tuesday, September 1 st at the Garden City Pool. The girls hard work and dedication during these two weeks of preseason will (hopefully) see them through to another successful season. After graduating six seniors last year, the team welcomed eight talented 7 th graders. Coach Anne Sullivan is excited about the addition of these 8 girls and believes they will have a positive impact on the outcome of the season. Last year, the girls were once again undefeated and became County champions. It was the team's 7 th consecutive undefeated season and 10 th consecutive County Championship. The Girls Varsity Swim Team now has the longest running undefeated streak in GC High School history. The girls hope to make this their 8 th undefeated season and win an 11 th County Championship. The present seniors hope to be the 3 rd consecutive graduating class to have never lost a dual meet or county championship.
