Congratulations to the U-10 Boys travel soccer team for competing for the first time as a team in their first pre-season tournament. The team competed in five games against some tough opponents at Soccer Park in Plainview, August 28 and 29. More ... The Garden City U-10 Strikers played in the East Meadow-Covanta Soccer Tournament on August 29 and 30. The Strikers played teams from Longwood, Massapequa, East Meadow, Syosset and Manhattan. The Garden City Bombers 11U team completed their 2009 summer season with a 15-0 record in the LSW travel baseball league. The Bombers completed the regular season 13-0 and continued their winning ways in the playoffs defeating a tough Island Trees team in the semi finals.Ryan Wallstedt got the win by pitching a complete game gem in the semis. The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club will be opening their fall season on Saturday September 12th. Girls play 9:00AM until 1:00PM and boys play from 1:00PM until 5:00PM (with the exception of Kindergarten and 1st grade).
