Workshop Series For Breast Cancer Patients
The stress of breast cancer can bring additional problems such as headaches, pain and anxiety. On Monday, September 21, participants at this free workshop can learn more about emotional management tools that can boost the immune system for optimal wellness and symptom relief. Marianne LiBretto, a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor and stress/pain management/medical biofeedback specialist, will teach unique self-regulation techniques to help gain control over stress related symptoms and promote lifelong health. The workshop, which is a program of the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program, runs from 7 to 8:30 pm and is held at Adelphi University's Alumni House, 154 Cambridge Avenue, Garden City.
Marianne P. LiBretto, LMHC, has over 16 years of clinical, hospital and practical experience. She is past president of the Biofeedback Society of New York and served on the North Shore/LIJ Health System's Complementary and Alternative Medicine Education Committee. She serves on the Long Island Women's Agenda health and development committees. She is the author of "Managing Stress Through Biofeedback" (Newsday's Wellness magazine, Oct. 2007).
