Crossfire
Crossfire This September, Café Ablaze will open its doors once again to offer a fun, fabulous evening of contemporary Christian music, specialty coffees, assorted fruit and desserts, and warm fellowship amidst candlelit tables. All are invited to Café Ablaze, a Christian coffeehouse hosted by Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Garden City on Saturday, September 19th, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

Resurrection's own contemporary band, aptly titled, The Resurrection Worship Band, led by the gifted music worship leader Elisabeth Erb, will open the evening with a couple of spiritually uplifting songs. The evening continues with featured artist, Crossfire, a native Long Island band whose music has been "on fire for God" since they debuted in 1998.

Crossfire, whose members include co-founders Barbara Grace and Matt Riley, and newest member and band manager, John Wilson, has been touring the Island appearing in local cafes. With their expressive lyrics, inspiring vocals, and amazing guitar solos, Crossfire delivers a musical performance that is real, relevant, and relational.

Crossfire's debut release, Almost Live, introduced the original compositions of the multi-talented Barbara Grace on keyboards and vocals, and Matt Riley on guitar, banjo, and mandolin. This CD was quickly followed by their second release, Send Down Your Spirit. John Wilson joined this talented duo, adding beautiful guitar rifts and bass, all evident on the group's third and most recent CD, Shine Through The Brokenness. Currently, Crossfire has been in the studio getting ready to release yet another album of harmonious music that ministers to the soul and spreads God's message and mission.
