What a great tennis season for the Garden City Casino Women's Tennis Program! The Women's B-1 team Captained by Lorraine O'Hanlon and Co-Captain Loretta Marcoux strategically positioned themselves in first place moving up to the A-2 level. The team practiced and played weekly matches both home and away with much dedication and tremendous effort. The team played hard with a strong team spirit and competitive edge the entire season. The team really came together and was motivated to hold first place managing to beat their top two competitors Robbie Wagner and Nassau Country Club. The team is part of the North Shore Women's Tennis League and played 15 teams throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. Each time a match was played the team gave it their best effort even if they managed to go to a third set! The team is planning on attending the North Shore Women's Tennis League Awards Dinner at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club on September 23 rd to celebrate this great achievement. The team is looking forward to advancing and facing a new challenge next season. Way to Go Team!!!!
