James Farr Nassau County Police have arrested James Farr, 33, a Marine stationed in Garden City, for two counts of vehicular manslaughter stemming from a fatal accident that occurred in East Meadow on Sunday August 23.

According to police, Farr was operating a 2005 BMW westbound on Hempstead Turnpike when he struck and killed two pedestrians who were crossing in the vicinity of Conti Square Boulevard. Thomas Occhiogrosso, 27, of Riverhead was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:36 am. , Joseph Occhiogrosso, 28, of East Meadow was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:58 am. Farr was also charged with driving while intoxicated.
