The reservations are coming in for the Community Club at Garden City and Hempstead's annual Friendship Luncheon at the Cherry Valley Club on Tuesday, September 22. The Invitations were artfully designed. printed and mailed by a committee composed of Marge Moran, Catherine Hopkins and Joyce Lemino. During the Luncheon the roving photographer Regina Dowling with her secretary Geraldine McHugh will be recording all the lovely ladies in attendance.

Ruth Lacy is recording the reservations and asks that members and guests be sure to name their menu selection on their checks along with their telephone number. The main course selections are Chicken Cordon Bleu, Ginger Snap Crusted Salmon, or Herb Roasted Sliced Sirloin. Of course, salad and dessert, coffee or tea and either a glass of wine or a mixed drink are all included in the $49 price per person. Checks should be made payable to the Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead and mailed to Ruth at 110 Stratford Avenue, Garden City, N.Y. 11530.

The luncheon will start at 12 noon and there will be musical entertainment by Gloria and Tim Brown for your listening pleasure. This year the Friendship Luncheon will start off the 90h year for the Community Club. The first meeting of their 2009-2010 season will take place on Wednesday, October 7th at the Garden City Casino with a special program and of course - birthday cake with their coffee or tea.
