Ingrid Metcalf with her loving family Ingrid Metcalf, October 4, 1922 - August 16, 2009

Ingrid Metcalf, a resident of Garden City for over 50 years, died last Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson, surrounded by her family. Born in Germany in 1922, she would have been 87 years old in a few weeks. She was a life long member of the Garden City Community Church and active volunteer in several village organizations in her younger days.

Ingrid is survived by her three children, Susan Metcalf Colatosti of Setauket, Michael Metcalf also of Garden City, and Peter Metcalf of Park City, Utah. She also has 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Marissa, and John Colatosti, as well as Lucia, Hunter, and Rachel Metcalf.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, August 23 at her daughter's church, Setauket Presbyterian.
