The band will be back for the Chamber's annual Fall Festival Street Fair on October 24. The Garden City Chamber of Commerce's first ever Restaurant Week in Garden City, July 20-23 was reported by the 18 participating restaurants to be a success. The four-day event wound up with the Seventh Street Restaurant Fair on Friday evening, July 24. Mother Nature smiled on the larger than anticipated crowd which turned out on this balmy summer evening to enjoy the culinary specialties of Seventh Street restaurants and "eateries." The event had been proposed by the Chamber and approved by the Village Board of Trustees to make up in a small way for the disappointment shared by all at the cancellation of the Belmont Festival this past June 5. Adding to the festivities was the Fivestone Band, whose classic rock wowed the crowd. Through the courtesy of the New York Racing Association, contributing sponsor, two face painters and Coke's Polar Bear Bounce were there to the delight of the kids.

Enjoying the festivities were L-R: Arthur Anderson, president Kiwanis Club of Garden City, Pat Cappelli and Lou Cappelli, Kiwanis Club president-elect.Enjoying the festivities were L-R: Arthur Anderson, president Kiwanis Club of Garden City, Pat Cappelli and Lou Cappelli, Kiwanis Club president-elect.Enjoying a repast within Seventh Street Café were L-R seated: Roger Eltringham, president of the Garden City Chamber, Jackie Eltringham and Msgr.
