The Garden City Retired Men's Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City Community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political.

All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City, in the state of New York are eligible for membership upon paying a five (5) dollar initiation fee. If you are eligible and interested in joining us, please come by. Every Monday is Open House. Or call Joe Leto at 248-9022.

The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers two regulation size pool tables, television, cards/table board games as well as outdoor bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Our Program Committee is planning a very active speaker program. You are invited to join us!

In House Party Coming Up

Monday August 10th is the date for our next In-House party. Rudy Kaiser will make his usual excellent choice of a hot dish. The drinks are ready. The food will come in hot and we are sure you will enjoy the day. Come early, play a few hands of cards, shoot some pool or just relax. Drink stand opens at 12:30 p.m., food served at 1 p.m. The cost $7.00 plus $2.00 for lucky bucks.

Health And Fitness

Due to the increased attendance Felicia, has added a second exercise period to the Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes. The new schedule through to the week of August 24 is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. Classes are free and the exercise is great.

George Salem is busy searching for suitable talent to address the Retired Mens Club. As of this date we do not have a speaker for the month of August. We will keep you informed.
