SUMMER CONCERTS ANNOUNCED

The Garden City Recreation Department is pleased to announce its upcoming Gazebo Concert Series. Our concerts are held at the Gazebo on the corner of Hilton and Stewart Avenues and begin at 7:15 pm. Our concerts will be:

August 6Emil Stucchio and the Classics

in the event of bad weather, the concert will be held indoors at st. Paul's cluett hall.

So bring a chair, come join us and enjoy!

NEW "PRIME TIME" SENIOR TRIPS ANNOUNCED

Please note that we have added another trip to our list of fun excursions!

Tuesday, September 29 - Tour of West Point and a Hudson Highland Cruise - A guide will board our bus as we arrive at West Point to give us a tour of the Academy. There will be very little walking involved. We will then have lunch in the historic Hotel Thayer on the ground of the Academy. After lunch we will relax on a two hour cruise along the scenic Hudson River. The cost of this trip will be $95 and a $30 deposit is necessary to reserve your seat.

Wednesday, October 7 - Tour of FDR's Hyde Park Historic Site and lunch at the Hyde Park Steakhouse -Visit this special National Historic Site and see the home, the museum, and Val Kil, Eleanor Roosevelt's Private Sanctuary. We will first have lunch at the Hyde Park Steakhouse and Brewing Company. The cost of this trip is $81 and a $30 deposit is necessary to reserve your seat.

Wednesday, December 9 - Christmas Tour of Mills Mansion and Lunch at the American Bounty Restaurant of the Culinary Institute's "American Bounty" - We will tour the wonderful Mills Mansion, which will be beautifully decorated for Christmas. WE will then visit Hyde Park's Culinary Institute, where we will eat at the American Bounty Restaurant. The cost of this trip is $91 and a $30 deposit is necessary to reserve your seat.

To register for any of these trips, please visit the Recreation Offices at 108 Rockaway Avenue. A $30 check made payable to Prime Time Travel is necessary as deposit for each trip. Please register early as we only have 15-20 seats allotted for each trip.

Due to the overwhelming numbers of seniors that enjoy our exercise classes, we are changing the schedule and adding an additional class each day we meet.

St. Paul's Senior Center will be open limited hours during the summer. Beginning Monday, July 13 th we will have the following activities

Mondays 9:15 a.m Exercise with Felicia one hour class

10:30 a.m. Exercise with Felicia one hour class

11:30 a.m. Bingo!

Wednesdays9:15 a.m Exercise with Felicia

10:30 a.m. Exercise with Felicia

The Center will be open for your enjoyment until 4 p.m.

Friday, 9:15 a.m. Exercise with Felicia

10:30 a.m. Exercise with Felicia

11:30 a.m. Strength training with bands 1/2 hour class
