On Monday, August 3 , The 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines Association will host its third Annual Golf Outing at Eisenhower Park to raise funds for the support of local Marine Reservists and their families. Play will take place on the Red and White Courses with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Check in begins at 10 a.m., followed by a barbeque lunch. Play will be followed by a buffet dinner at the Carltun, and proceeds will help the nonprofit organization provide comfort and support to family members of deployed Marines; care packages for those on the front lines of the War on Terror; and if need be, funds will be used to assist wounded Marines or provide for the survivors of any killed in the line of duty. Between July 21 and 22, someone damaged outdoor lights valued at $200 at a Brixton Road residence... On July 22, after a driver's side window of a car was found broken, $7,000 in jewelry, $300, and credit cards werealso found missing from the car parked at the Epilepsy Foundation... Between July 19 and 20, 8 landscaping lights valued at $100 were found damaged at Osborne Road... On July 21 , a $200 Jensen GPS was stolen from a car parked in Field 11... On July 22 , detectives arrested a 46-year-old Hempstead man for a recent incident where he pulled his car away from a gas pump at the Mobil station and injured another person who received head and neck injuries from the still attached gas nozzle that eventually became dislodged there. He was charged with reckless criminal mischief and reckless assault... Between July 27 and 28 , an EZ pass was taken from an unlocked car at Harrison Street... On the evening of July 27 , someone damaged the $200 steel outside door to the apartment building at 366 Stewart Avenue... A $150 water pipe was found broken at Terrace Avenue on July 25... On that same day , 2 youths attempted to steal the hood ornament off a Mercedes parked at Chestnut Street after 5 p.m. They were described as white, 15, and one male was wearing dark shorts and was about 5'11" tall and the other male had lighter brown hair, and was wearing a white tee shirt and blue shorts... On July 23, PO Dallolio arrested a 19-year-old GC male for allegedly taking a parking sign from the School Administration Building, Cathedral Avenue, at 2:45 a.m...
