Christopher Koester, wearing his previously awarded medals, proudly displays his new Gold Medal Garden City Middle School student Christopher Koester recently was awarded with top honors from the German-American School. He received the Gold Medal at an awards ceremony held at the Plattdeutsche Park Restaurant on June 17th. The medal was awarded in acknowledgement of Christopher's class work throughout this year, in addition to his trimester and final exam results. He has been awarded with a gold and two silver medals in previous school years. The German-American School is a private language school which offers classes in Garden City at the Waldorf School, Manhattan and Ridgewood. The program is recognized by NY State and prepares the students for the New York State Three Year Comprehensive Regents in German.
