Fairfield University, a comprehensive Jesuit university in Fairfield Connecticut that challenges its students to lead inspired lives of leadership and service, has announced the names of the students from this area who qualified for the dean's list for the spring 2009 semester. To be selected, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.

Jill V. McLaughlin a resident of Garden City and daughter of Sally and Terence McLaughlin was named to the dean's list.

Jill received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Art History and Communication at Fairfield University's Fifty-Ninth Commencement on May 17, 2009.

Dean's List

Caitlin Crowley, a first year student at the College of the Holy cross, has been named to the Dean's List for the second semester of the 2008-09 academic year.

She is the daughter of Nancy and Mike Crowley of Garden City. She majors in Theater and English.
