Police Report: Mischief & Mayhem

Between July 16 and 17, someone stole 2 windows valued at $300 at the Garden City Community Church… On July 21, a windshield wiper and antenna on a Honda were found damaged. $40… ON July 20, a $300 Trek Mode/7300 was stolen from the Nassau Blvd. Railroad station… Between July 19 and 20, there were several incidents of criminal mischief including graffiti in chalk, damaged benches and light poles, in the vicinity of Osborne Road and Transverse Road… On July 19, PO Dallolio arrested a 21 year old Elmont man for harassing a 23 year old New Hyde Park female at Stewart Avenue. The incident was one of road rage and occurred at 10:30 p.m.… Also On July 19, a $40 Webster BBQ grill was taken from a Stewart Avenue residence… On July 18, PO Wehr arrested a male motorist driving along Franklin Avenue after he was allegedly speeding at 52 mph in a 30 mph zone. The charges included alleged DWI at (.20%). speeding, unsafe lane change, and the criminal possession of cocaine… On July 15, midday, police received a call to assist at an auto accident at Franklin Ave./Ninth St. where a pedestrian was struck by an alleged dark blue Honda being driven by a Caucasian female, described as around 23 years old, 5'3" tall, with long black hair. The pedestrian was taken to Winthrop Hospital for knee and leg injuries… On July 17, a $2500 large bedroom window was found broken at a Transverse Road house… On July 9, 11:30 p.m., there were numerous youth incidents at Newmarket Road/Wellington Road. A 16 year old Garden City South male was arrested for the possession of beer and marijuana…
