Heather Guzmann and Raman (Seventh Street Cafe) will be Restaurant Week participants. The Garden City Chamber of Commerce invites the community to turn out for the first Restaurant Week in Garden City - this Monday, July 20 through Thursday, July 23. Participating restaurants offering three-course "price-fixed" meals between 4 and 7 p.m. include: Calagero's, Garden City Hotel's Rein, Fianei's Paninoteca, Grimaldi's, Jin East, La Nonna Bella, Leo's, Lord & Taylor's Signature Cafe, Mumon, New York Soup Exchange, Novita, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Seventh Street Cafe, Suchi Ya, Upper Crust Cafe, Uptown Grille, Walk Street and Waterzooi.

On Friday evening, July 24, the week will wind up with a Restaurant Fair on Seventh Street with all eating establishments invited to offer culinary specialties outside of their restaurants and shops between 6 and 10 p.m. Attractions added to the festivities will include the Fivestone Band performing classic contemporary rock, and through the courtesy of the New York Racing Association (NYRA), contributing sponsor, there will be two face painters and Coke's "Polar Bear Bounce" for the kids(at no charge).
