Nine Garden City High School Math Research students in Mrs. Donna Getchell's class recently were awarded bronze medals for their final round entries into the 2009 Al Kalfus Long Island Math Fair held at Hofstra University. Math research submissions are reviewed by judges during a preliminary round and determined whether eligible for the final round of judging where gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded.
