Jillian Kannengieser and Gregory O'Mullan Mr. and Mrs. John Kannengieser of Garden City are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jillian, to Dr. Gregory O'Mullan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel O'Mullan of Gillette, New Jersey.

Jillian is a graduate of Garden City High School, class of 2000. She received a BS from Georgetown University, MSc from the London School of Economics, and MS in Nursing from Yale University. She is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and works in the Neonatal ICU of the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital at New York Presbyterian.

Gregory received both BS and MS degrees from Rutgers University. He earned a Ph.D from Princeton University in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Currently, he is on the faculty at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Queens College, and is also an adjunct research scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.

A November 2009 wedding is planned.
