Jeremiah Joseph Howard III of Garden City has graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. Howard III earned an A.B. in Government & Law and was one of 555 undergraduate students awarded 573 degrees at the college's 174 th Commencement on Saturday, May 23.

The following residents graduated on May 23 from Marist College.

James J. Fitzgerald of Garden City received a Bachelor of Science in Business Admin./Emphasis: Finance.

Daniel Bott of Garden City received a Bachelor of Science in Business Admin./Emphasis: Human Resources.

Kyle Michael Siegel of Garden City received a Bachelor of Science in Business Admin./Emphasis: Human Resources.

Kathryn Ann Marconi of Garden City received a Bachelor of Science in Business Admin./Emphasis: Marketing.

Kerry E. Owen of Garden City received a Bachelor of Science in Business Admin./Emphasis: Marketing.

The Villanova School of Business at Villanova University is pleased to announce James Chandler Lindsay , of Garden City, has been named to the Dean's List for exceptional academic performance for the Spring 2009 Semester. A student must achieve a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for the list.

Brian Way , a Villanova University student was recently named to the Dean's List at the College of Engineering. To qualify for the Dean's List in the College of Engineering, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of 3.25.

Mary Kathleen Nix , a resident of Garden City has earned an Associate in Science in Nursing from Excelsior College.

Excelsior College (www.excelsior.edu) is an accredited, private, nonprofit institution that focuses on the needs of working adults. Its primary mission is to increase access to a college degree for adult learners by removing obstacles to their educational goals.

Anthony Morano of Garden City, son of Dr. Placido A Morano and Maryann DeAngelis Morano of Garden City, received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., at its 164th commencement ceremony on May 11, 2009.

Last month, Wagner College awarded Julie Rose Zizzamia of Garden City, a Bachelor of Science degree in Arts Administration.

The following local students graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor's degree on May 17, 2009:

Justin Andrew Capilupi of Garden City, who was a management major.

Edward Clark Denby of Garden City, who was a political science major.

Michael James Durand of Garden City, who was a management major.

Terence Michael Hartigan of Garden City, who was a political science major.

With a student body of approximately 2,600, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park. The College was founded in 1832.
