Congratulations to Samantha Sweeney , a member of the Garden City High School graduating class of 2009. Samantha, who lives in Garden City, has distinguished herself in a variety of venues. Scholar, athlete, volunteer, and recipient of the prestigious Girl Scouts' gold Award, Sam brings her energy and enthusiasm to her work at Winthrop University Hospital as well as her community service efforts on behalf of the Miracle Foundation, the Andy Foundation and St. Joseph's RC Church Bible School. Captain, of the championship varsity badminton team, Sam was also recognized as having Garden City's best badminton record ever.
