The Eastern Property Owners' Association has awarded a $1000 college scholarship to GCHS graduate Laura Wysocki, standing with EPOA scholarship director Neil O'Malley. The EPOA focused its scholarship search on college-bound high school seniors from the East with outstanding records of community service. Accepted by seven colleges, Laura will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall, where she will enter its pre-professional dental program in preparation for a career as an orthodontist. As the largest of Garden City's four POAs, the EPOA represents the interests of 40 percent of the Village's population. Its Web site is www.gcepoa.org.
