The Spirit Continues...
"Preparing Mailing to Parishioners"
Plans are now underway for the 7th annual Spirit Day to be held at St Anne's Parish on Saturday, September 19th . This event has quickly become a favorite among all in the community, and the latest version will feature activities and attractions geared toward bringing us all together.
Laughter and music, as well as vendors featuring food, drink and crafts, will be on hand throughout the day. Before the lights go out, our Pastor, Fr. John, will celebrate an inspirational outdoor Mass, reminding us all of where the Spirit truly lies.
As evening sets in, the School cafeteria will be transformed into a Teen Disco where friends, old and new, can gather. Meanwhile, Lady Luck will be on hand at A Night At the Races, in "McCloskey Hall Downs". Truly, there is something for everyone.
The evening will culminate with the drawing of six (6) Big Bucks Raffle winners. Big Bucks is a 50/50 raffle where the proceeds are shared equally between the Church of St. Anne, and the lucky winning entrants. The grand prize winner will receive 25% of the total raised, and five additional winners will split an additional 25%. The Parish portion of the proceeds will be used to support the important work of the many programs and ministries that make our faith community of St Anne's special. This would include reaching out to those in need and supporting the faith formation of our parishioners - young and old. Your participation will help to support these many and vital programs, and is greatly appreciated.

This year, Big Bucks Raffle tickets are $100, and a limit of 1000 tickets will be sold.
If all tickets are sold, the grand prize winner would collect $25,000, and the five additional winners would reap $5,000 each. If fewer than 1000 tickets were sold, the prize levels would decrease proportionately. Applications for Big Bucks tickets can be obtained at St Anne's Rectory: 35 Dartmouth Street, Garden City, or by calling: 352-5904.
