First Aid: Mike Cassano, Michael O'Sullivian and Charlie Eschmann I would like to send a warm thank you to the Garden City Community. For the past few weeks I have been working on my Eagle Scout project. I have been collecting instruments for St Martin de Porres Marianist school in Uniondale. I hope that the instruments we have collected will help to teach students to love and enjoy music. Eagle Scout includes extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.

I collected over 25 gently used musical instruments for St. Martin Deporres School in Uniondale. I organized and ran a 3 on 3 basketball tournament at St. Pauls School on June 27th for grades 6-12. The tournament was a huge success. There are many people who helped me achieve this accomplishment. Thank you to all the volunteers including the scouts from troop 243. To Marybeth, Kevin and Kelly Lawkins, Megan Cotter, Christine and Jenna Ruhl, Pam and Kathleen Beatty for donating baked goods. To Plum Tomatoes for donating Pizza for the volunteers and players. To Father Joe Schlafer from St. Joseph Parish, and Father John Gilmartin from St Anne's for there support. Thank you to Crown Trophy in New Hyde Park for donating the trophies to the winners of the tournament.
