The GCYL's 2nd grade division had more than 80 boys participate during the spring. The division was successfully lead by Mike Sullivan with a tremendous amount of support from coachs: Caluori, Cullen, Griffith, Gunn, Puccio, Ryan, Savino and Shirley and many other assistants and volunteers.

The season included a balance of clinics, where the boys focused on learning the fundamentals of lacrosse and for the first time they enjoyed organized scrimmages against opponents from other towns (Long Beach, Jericho, Bayville and more). The season finished on a much lighter note with a fastest shot contest, water balloons and ice cream for everyone. GCYL would like to extend a special "thank you" to Dave Dillmeier for organizing the season-end festivities.

Thank you to the parents for their support and most of all the young boys who continue to learn the game of lacrosse and enjoy themselves with their friends on Sunday afternoons.
