Leprechaun Warriors Win Grudge Match
Catch me if you can!!!
The Leprechaun Warriors headed into the PAL Lacrosse Jamboree to face their nemesis Wantagh Warriors on June 14th at Farmindale State U. The Leprechaun Warriors only loss of the season came to the Wantagh team on Mother's Day in a 4-3 loss. With many of the mother's watching this time the boys did not want to disappoint again. The GC team got off to a quick 3-2 lead, with a little help from their friends. The defense looked sharp with Steven Spirakis replacing Sean Rode(broken collarbone and defensive coach for the day) and Cole Dutton, Jack Tiedemann, Kieran Paskewitz putting a pounding on the Wantagh attack and middies. Kieran Brown(otherwise known as KDOG) gave a stellar performance in goal only letting up 2 all day long. The middies put pressure on the Wantagh Defense all day long led by Luke Connolly, Aidan Byrnes, Peter Menoudakos, Owen Wieland, Tyler Wuchte, Andrew Desantis, Kevin Curry, Sean and Patrick Leggett. The attack gave plenty of help to the middies and kept up the pressure by riding the Wantagh players all day long. Jack Dignam, Matthew Mazur, Tommy Poole, Kevin Tierney did an outstanding job setting up the offense and creating opportunities for everyone. The final score of the season was 6-2 and Revenge was sooooo Sweet. Thanks again to all the coaches and parents who help make this a successful year. Keep that stick in hand this summer and practice, practice, practice. I will see you next Winter or Spring. Thanks again Coach C.
