Mrs. Katherine Martinus, parent of Tyler Martinus, recently visited Mrs. Guiry's and Señora Gutierrez's second grade class at Stewart School to speak to the students about a typical day in Colombia for a second grader. She described customary meals, methods of transportation to school, arrival and dismissal times, typical classes, and the climate. The class discussed the similarities and differences in the average day of a second grader. In addition, they learned about some of the unique foods, fresh fruits, and natural resources found in Colombia.
