Garden City Basketball is pleased to announce NBA Nation will be at the South Street Seaport on Saturday June 20th at 11am.

The JrNBA/JrWNBA has invited members from Garden City Basketball, between the ages of 8 - 14 years old, to an exclusive Skills & Drills Clinic at NBA Nation presented by T-Mobile & Kia Motors. Please arrive at 10am for the 11am to noon clinic.

The Skills & Drills Clinic will consist of the following:

• League Members will be led through a private skills clinic which focuses on passing, dribbling and shooting.

• Members will receive a special tour of NBA Nation

• Members should arrive at NBA Nation one (1) hour prior to start of the clinic

• Members must be accompanied by at least one (1) chaperone per ten (10) kids.

NBA Nation and its Ambassador Darryl Dawkins, an NBA Legend, are traveling coast-to-coast this summer, bringing fans and JrNBA/JrWNBA League Members together at the NBA's largest mobile basketball playground with an entire nation to explore. League Members can climb atop the 18-wheel, 53' showtruck to the T-Mobile VIP Sky Deck and catch the action on the courts below or step inside the T-Mobile Prize Pod for the chance to win a T-Mobile G1 or Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Phone. They can dribble, pass and shoot the fastest through the Kia Motors Performance Challenge course or show off their best basketball skills in a variety of contests at the T-Mobile myFaves Court and the Kia Court. They can practice their best slam dunk on 8', 9', and 10' rims on the Sprite Showdown Court or practice their best shooting skills from six different spots on the court in the Haier Shooting Stars competition. Finally, they can come aboard the showtruck to watch the NBA's 50 Greatest Plays on a 50" flat screen, play the latest NBA video games, or measure your height, arm span, hand & shoe size to life-size replicas of your favorite NBA Players, and more.

The focus of Garden City Basketball is our intramural program. Our greater mission is to provide a wonderful experience for all of our participants so that a love of the life long game of basketball will be nurtured and grow.

Our goal is simply to have a great program that is our version of fun for children.

The regular intramural game day season is expected to start Saturday, December 5th and run through March 2010.
